Differentiate Your Brand/Company through Customer Wows

Suzi Shopper: Thoughts on business from a consumer’s perspective

Are you looking for a way to differentiate your retail brand? Sometimes, we just need to look in the mirror.

In today’s competitive marketplace, it can be difficult to distinguish your company from your competitors, but with the proper training, your people can create the customer experiences that truly differentiate your company from the rest. Sure, technology can make a big difference in the customer experience; just check out our other blogs. But in the end, your people can make the biggest impact.

In “Lessons from the Mouse,” Dennis Snow suggests starting with “little wows” and offers three simple strategies that, if followed consistently, will allow your company to make “customer wows,” regardless of your industry or size.

They are:

Step 1: Wow through know-how. Your employees should know your products inside and out. They should be experts

Step 2: Take Notice, Take Action. Be aware and empower your employees to take action.

Step 3: Add Flair through Care. Be enthusiastic and compassionate.

Snow offers examples of the steps above and much more great advice in a concise, easy to read format. I highly recommend it!
